Numerical simulation on the trawing of biological tissue induced by laser irradiation

  • This paper describes a numerical study on the thawing of biological tissue induced by laser irradiation. The calculating results show that,although the laser beam heats the biological tissue in a volumetric manner,the thawing process of biological tissue induced by laser heating is similar to that induced by ordinary heating source. The absorption coefficient of biological tissue has a great influence on the thawing process. When the absorption coefficient increases,the thawing process induced by laser heating approaches that induced by ordinary heating source.
