Equivalent transformation of periodic misaligned optical systems

  • Received Date: 2002-02-05

  • The matrix factorization and equivalent transformation of periodic misaligned optical systems are studied by using the matrix method in optics and generalized Sylvester theorem. It is shown that the periodic misaligned systems can be simplified to a combination of a thin aligned lens and two thin prisms.

Abstract: The matrix factorization and equivalent transformation of periodic misaligned optical systems are studied by using the matrix method in optics and generalized Sylvester theorem. It is shown that the periodic misaligned systems can be simplified to a combination of a thin aligned lens and two thin prisms.
