  • The output characteristics of the Er/Yb co-doped fiber superfluorescent source,pumped by six CW laser diodes operating at 976nm through six pigtails of the tapered fiber bundle in order to obtain higher output power,are investigated.With SPB configuration,when the pump power is 957mW,the superfluorescent output power is 120.4mW,and the slope efficiency is 17.5%.In DPB configuration,the 3dB bandwidth can be spread to 88nm efficiently with additional 4m Er-doped fibers.
