Abstract: The present research situation and questions of the stimulated Brillouin scattering(SBS) in optical component are summarized in this paper.The ultrasonic wave damage,destroy of the beam quality,and the influence on the high power laser system including many big optical components are emphasized.And the further research direction on this field is pointed out.
