Abstract: Photonic crystal fiber(PCF) has more excellent properties than common fiber,such as single mode,dispersion and nonlinearity. The basic structures and virtues of photonic crystal fiber are studied in this article,then the development of photonic crystal fiber laser,and high power fiber laser with PCFs is presented.
